First day of college
Tonight is my first night at college, in my dorm room. I am on the top floor of the dorm hall that is across the four lane highway from the campus, which means I have to cross a busy road every day for class. Sixteen floors up. But I have an excellent view of nearly the entire campus out our window. And it's a large window. I have been awake for 35 hours and still don't think I will be sleeping any time soon. This is because of my summertime habits of living nocturnally basically. I woke up at 12am yesterday morning, and have not slept since then. I packed and wasted time, packed...wasted time. The boyfriend drove me and all my crap here today right after he got off of work. The air conditioning was out throughout the entire building when we got here and stayed that way until I was almost entirely unpacked. We went up and down about a million times in a very crowded, 1000 degrees environment more times than I can remember. It was so fucking hot. Everyone was drenched in their own bodily fluid. And now that the air is working it still feels pretty warm in here. I was planning on trying to change rooms but it was trouble enough moving all my shit in, I'm not going to move t all out again. Especially not when I would have no help and would have to carry it all myself. My roommate: I was so paranoid that I would be stuck in a room all the damn time with some ditsy teeny bopping slut. But I lucked out and we seem to have a lot in common as far as dress and most music. She seems pretty cool so far and as far as I can tell she likes my sorry ass too, So good deal. Today we moved things around like our beds. You can stack the beds to make bunks, so that's what we did. It was hard shit but we did it, and without male help. Haha. To that we were both like "right on!" So yeah, thankfully happy with the roomy. We have yet to have out internet up so I am typing this in Works, while the roomy is out getting things with her brother. I think she is getting the rest of her computer. Speaking of that, hooking mine back up was a bitch. The desks are plenty wide, but not deep enough for the monitor or tower to fit in without cornering it. I have to put the keyboard in my lap and that's annoying. I had to put the tower on a white rolley thing I've got with drawers in it., to hold my endless piles of crap. As soon as I get the chance, I will post pictures of this awesome night view I have and post it. For now, I'm very tired and need a shower.
