Greatest trip ever
I’m back. The art trip was the best school trip I have been on in my entire life. I think a big part of it was due to the fact that it was only seven of us and Mrs. Wimmer. And we were all girls, and my best friends. Me, Becca, Lanessa, Jessica, Carrie, and Tara and Felicia, whom I don’t talk to much but are nice. It was like a big girls weekend party. I needed it. We all did. We left school at 8 in the morning and arrived n Louisville at the same hotel we stayed at last year. Its not five star or anything but it’s pretty nice. Friday we went to the Speed art museum. It was great. We ate Chinese. It was great. We seen Crimes of the Heart performed at the Actors Theatre. It was great. You get the idea. You know the white girl that was on In Living Color? She was the one that played the mother whenever they did the skit that was like Lassie, but was a pit bull and they were in the ghetto, etc. And when they did Homie the Clown she was always some little white girl with braces or something? She was funny. Anyway, while we were watching the play Crimes of the Heart, one of the three girls looked so familiar, and when Carrie was looking through her playbill I read her little thing where they tell what she has performed in and stuff, and it was her! I seen that damn woman from In Living Color in a play. It was so cool. That’s the closest I’ve been to someone famous besides the Weezer concert. Then Mrs. Wimmer took us to a bar and grill place and bought us all dessert. I had a chocolate mouse pie/cake thing that was soooo damn good. Oh, it was good. We were loud and laughing at everything and some creepy old man who I don’t think blinked stared at us all night and Lanessa had a staring contest with him and stuff. He was scary. Lanessa stole a pen from the place for me. I was looking at it when we came in because it had a little stuffed pig on it with wings and a halo and was just funny. I was joking about wanting to steal it and when we left they waited until we were across the street and were like “Look what we got you!“ It was crazy. Then we went back to the hotel, and guess who was in the lobby, just sitting there? That old man! No joke. Lanessa and Becca asked to take his picture with him and he was all ‘bout it ‘bout it. It was crazy. He was so nice and was all joking with us. They took a bunch of pics with him and he turned his cap sideways and everything. It was so surreal. Then we were to loud in the hallway and made some guy come out of his room and say “Can you girls keep it down? My daughter is trying to sleep!” So later Lanessa (I think) went out in the hallways and stole one of the signs on their door that were drawn by other people and said “Good luck Jenny(?) at All American!” They were on several doors. She took one with a penguin on it waiving a flag. All this is making me realize how mischievous we can be with too much freedom. Well, I was good, but you know… Today we went to a couple of galleries and then went shopping on the Bardstown road strip. They have this vintage sort of clothing store called Cherry Bomb. It is awesome. They have lots of old clothing like thrift stuff, new clothes, and vintage things. I bought a cool shirt for 6$, and a nice pair of jeans. Then we went to Ear-X-Tacy. it’s a huge music store and I found the Smashing Pumpkins poster I have been wanting for a long time. It’s the Siamese Dream album cover. I was so happy. But on the way there we noticed some pretty black clouds behind us. Looked like the apocalypse or something. Really dark. And when we left it started raining as hard as it is possible for rain to…well, rain. We had to walk several several blocks back to the end of the street and it was pouring. It was raining so hard that I could hardly see. It was just like trying to open your eyes under the shower head. And It was lightening and thundering all around us. We couldn’t stay inside either because we HAD to be back in time to get the city bus and get back to the hotel to get our bus and leave. So we ran until we figured we are not going to get any wetter so we will walk. We were absolutely soaking wet down to our underwear and socks until we could get back to the hotel and change. I got pics and will post them when I get them developed. Then (sorry, this will be over soon) wile waiting around in the lobby after we realized we were an hour early because Mrs. Wimmer screwed up the whole time difference I was standing next to an ATM machine. When I looked over at it, I noticed a 20$ bill just laying there crying out for me to grab it. Someone was clumsy enough to not pick up all of their money. I oh-so-sly-ly grabbed it and put it in my pocket. 20 freaking dollars! How could someone be that stupid? I don’t know but I am glad they were. Finding that much money is the greatest feeling ever. I asked everyone if they had seen the last person to use it and they were like “no” so all is fair. Then we went home. Greatest trip ever. There are many many other things that happened but I am too lazy. Well, there you go. Goodnight.
