This entry has length...finally
I haven’t been able to see Boyfriend since school started back, almost a month now, because of a combination of his truck fucking up, work, and lack of money. Also recently their phone was disconnected for a few days because of his mom’s inability to pay bills on time, and chances are he ended up paying something for her this month. But next weekend is Valentines Day weekend so I should be able to see him then. I think I am going to get him the B*eavis and B*utthead DVD’s they advertise on television. There is a website I can order from. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten him a V-day gift that really represented the holiday, haha. Long but crazy-ass story ahead: A couple of days ago there was a huge “freak out” on our floor of the dorm. About four days ago the roommate and I were going to go ride around at about 1 in the morning. As we were about to get on the elevator an older lady came out of one of the rooms and asked us what time it was. Roomy said, “It’s 12:59.” “About 12?” “No, about one in the morning.” “Oh, I was thinking it was about time to get up.” And she went back into the room we though nobody was staying in. Our hallways are only about 20 rooms, 10 on each side of the hallway (if that many) and since we are on the top floor only a little more than half of them have anyone living in them. She came out of 1619 which we thought was empty, so we were like “What? That was weird.” Then when we got back we both got showers and while I was in the room changing Roomy was in the hallway waiting. She came in and said “Doood! That lady is standing in the hallway. Go look.” So I peaked my head out just a little bit and she was just standing there in front of her door almost in the dark (since the hall lights were off). It was weird. Roomy and me were talking and joking about it all night. Jumping ahead two nights, us and several other girls were hanging out in the hall all night. Roomy asked if anyone knew the older lady that had apparently moved into 1619 but nobody else had seen her and told us no one was living in that room. Jamie came out of the bathroom just then before we had described to anyone what she looked like and said “Are you talking about that old lady with the grey hair and glasses?” And we were like “Yeah!” She said she seen her that same night and tried to say hi to her but she didn’t say anything back. Also that she seen her covers and stuff on her bed because her door was open. No one else had seen her, so someone called the front desk to see if anyone had moved into that room, but they said that no one had been checked into that room since the other girl left in early January. *Insert scary ‘Dun dun DUN’ music here* So then everyone is freaking out and talking about ghosts and people that have died on this floor, and asking Roomy and me what she looked like and all kinds of crazy stuff an we’re like “Doood, we seen her, we talked to her. She was real.” There was so much commotion that the RA’s that were working downstairs came up after we had told them what was going on. Everyone made them get the key an open the room up (after everyone had been banging on the door and everything) to show us that no one was in there, which freaked everyone out. So now the hall is full of a bunch of screaming girls (excluding me and a couple of others I must add. I was freaked out but not squealing like a wild animal) The 15th floor heard us so some of the guys were coming up and trying to freak us out more, which worked for most of the girls. Well, eventually one of the more ‘in charge’ guys of the building came up after there had apparently been complaints from all of the screaming. After we told him all of the above and described the woman he recognized who we were talking about. There is a lady that goes to school here and is about 50 or 60 who commutes from pretty far away. When the weather is bad or there is a call for bad weather she stays in our building for the night. The other guy downstairs didn’t have anyone listed as ever being checked in under that room because she signs in on a card. So the whole things was pretty much us freaking out over nothing while somewhere in Danville Kentucky some poor old lady is being feared of as a ghost by the entire 16th floor. It was good times though! :D And if you read this whole thing, wow. Of course there were a few who didn’t believe the guys explanation ‘cause you know how people are, but it’s pretty much over now. The majority of the hall and some guys from downstairs stayed in the hallway talking until about 3 or 4 in the morning. Craziness. Man, that was a LONG entry.
